Don't freak.....we're just moving our blog this time, not our family!
You can now find us at:
http://thevfiles.wordpress.com/
Update your bookmarks and Google Reader (if you even know what those things are).
One of the main reasons behind the switch was the opportunity for guest commenting, which Vox does not allow at this time. Instead of requiring an account as you currently need, all that is necessary now in order to put your two cents in is a valid e-mail address. In short, I am expecting a comment from you, especially Nana, for I know she reads the blog ;O).
So click on over. A new post awaits!
Have no fear, we're still here. We've just been keeping busy lately, especially after a 6th move in 5 and a 1/2 years of
marriage. This time though, it's OUR HOME, so we are really glad to have made this move. With the move, however, came the packing and unpacking. Fortunately, Thomas worked really hard and we had some helping hands here and there to help us get nearly everything into its proper home. The place already feels like home--such a blessing! As we unpacked, we also went though some Internet withdrawals. There was a big gap in our service, and we were uncertain for a bit how/if we would get service at our new place. We were in a sad state, for we would find ourselves take trips into town just to go to a local coffee shop so we could check our e-mails (but we always purchase something--we're not ones to just use wi-fi and leave, in case you were wondering).
I've been teaching 2 days a week and Thomas has been working hard as well, thus adding to our keeping busy. Once I took up my students' first project of the semester, I went into a hibernation of sorts, reading and responding to the nearly 75 essays.Usually Daniel's nap time is my free time (blogging time), and that time was consumed with grading essays, hence another reason for the posting drought. I am not free and clear of such work responsibilities....until Thursday when I take up the 2nd one!
It's not been all work and no play. We've been able to do lots of fun stuff too. One of my best friends, Andrea, came in from TX for a visit, so I spent two days immersed in catch-up time with her. We visited some mutual friends in the area together as well, and our good bud, Brandy, drove in to visit too. I always enjoy spending time with those I love, and this was no exception.
Thomas and I, along with his friend Chris, were fortunate enough to see the Tennessee Titans play last Sunday (thanks to my brother being on a business trip in Germany, thus not able to use his tickets, as well as a cousin that was unable to attend). It was a simply gorgeous day, and we all had a wonderful time. As we all exited the stadium after beating the Vikings, everyone began to cheer "4 and 0," which was exciting. After a win today, we can all cheer "5 and 0," which is quite a feat! It is a great time to be a Titans fan!
All in all, things are good. Daniel is growing FAST, and it is very amazing that his second birthday is on the horizon. We're happy in the new place, and we're excited about all the new possibilities in our home. If you're ever in the area, you are welcome to stop in for a visit. After all, we are still here. Nothing is wrong.....it's just been a few busy days and an Internet drought. :o)
