I've had a few folks ask how I'm growing during this pregnancy of our 2nd little one. Well, now you can see for yourself! Thomas took this picture before we went to a Super Bowl party last night, so it is very recent, and, as you can see, the baby bump is evident. According to my iGoogle "Baby Countdown Ticker" I am in "open week 22." I trust what it says, for I have never been really good at keeping track with the weeks and months in good detail. I did have a regular doctor's appointment last week, and she had since reviewed all the ultrasound still shots and video, confirming that all the parts seem to be healthy. According to Dr. M, the baby is growing in the 91st percentile for where he is in gestation. She did not say that this necessarily means my due date is off at this point, for it is a little early to truly tell, but she did say we will monitor the baby's growth a little more closely, for little me may not be able to handle a baby boy that is too big. It was also noted that she might consider an induction before my due date if the baby's growth stays as high, which is something she does not normally consider until after a due date has passed. I really enjoyed going into labor on my own with Daniel, so I hope that an induction is not necassary. The good thing is that we truly do have a good amount of time before anything is needed in that area. So far, I've been saying "the baby"and "he," but we have decided upon a name! Thomas and I are going with "Wesley Reese" for this kiddo!! We are very excited about his name, for it is one full of meaning. We met in college at "The Wesley Foundation," and without that place, there is a great likelihood that we would never have crossed paths. "Wesley," as we have fondly called it, provided us with some of our greatest friends, so naming a child after such a significant part in our lives seems appropriate. The "Reese" is a play off of my mother's name, Teresa. We are pretty proud of ourselves for this creativity. It is not too often that you are able to take a female name and work it nicely into a male name. So, from here on out, we can call "the baby" and "him" Wesley :o).

I like his name. Wesley Reese. (of course, the first thing that came to my mind with the name Wesley was Dread Pirate Roberts from my favorite movie)
This was the very first picture we had taken of me during this pregnancy! We didn't really take a lot with Daniel, but I know we took more than one at 5 months pregnant. Guess that old adage that the second kid gets forgotten with the photos has already started.....I'll need to be more diligent in taking more pics.
